Howdy boys and girls! Welcome to another installment of "Loren Hates Modernbill!" We finally got a response to our trouble ticket, and it only took 6 days! One problem solved (we think) and one problem unsolved and unaccounted for. No one wants to own up to it being their issue, neither Plesk nor Modernbill. So if we can't figure it out we are going to install another version of Apache over the weekend just for logjamming.com, which should solve the issue.

We also noticed that the help desk was inadvertentlly turned on in Plesk... doh. We'll be getting a ticket system up soon enough, until then use the good ol' email.

We also did some exploration of the app packages and they are pretty slick. Soon you'll be able to install gallery, phpbb, and other cool stuff with the click of a mouse. We'll keep you posted!

If you are having problems with your php scripts since we upgraded, it may be due to the fact that PHP now comes with Register_Globals off. Register_Globals is somewhat of a security risk, and it's recommended you leave it off if you don't need it. The appropriate way to write your scripts is with superglobals so this probably won't affect you.

HOWEVER, if you need register_globals on, make an .htaccess file in your web directory that has the following line:

php_value register_globals 1

And that should fix it.

If none of this makes sense to you, just ignore it because it's just for SUPERNERDS like myself.

Another week, another support ticket. Modernbill man.. what a nightmare. If I could find other viable options for a billing software, I'd switch in a heartbeat. As it stands, we've got a trouble ticket open with them regarding a provisioning bug we're having. I honestly don't see us getting it going any sooner than two weeks from today, but ya never know. If we can get this bug sorted before then we'll get cranking on the rest of the setup, which is going to take a while to sort out.

In the mean time we'll probably open up the old signup form sometime soon just to calm the masses. Watch in the coming days.

OKAY. STATS!

There's a new statistics structure. The easiest way to access them is to go through your control panel and click the REPORT button. From there you can access web and ftp stats, along with your total monthly traffic history.

The url for webstats is now http://yourdomain.com/plesk-stat/webstat/ if you wanna type it in by hand. You can still access logs pre-July by going to http://yourdomain.com/webstat (which we will try and consolidate to one place soon.)

Sorry for this change, it sucks and Plesk didn't make this known to any of it's clients before the upgrade. Plenty of folks are pissed about it.

I'll be updating the faq soon as I can.

The upgrade to Plesk Reloaded went smooth as silk. You'll notice a few interface changes and new features.

There are some small issues with stats which we are ironing out. We'll post more once we have it sorted.
