Tuesday, May 21, 2002*sigh* okay, the upgrade is gonna be put off again. There was an incompatability that we weren't aware of that will have to be sorted out, it involves a major OS upgrade. For now, we seem to have sorted out the qmail issues, but as mentioned before, please let us know if you notice delays.
I've updated a few of the FAQ's. Namely number 14.5, 16, and 24. .: posted by Loren Cox 10:50 PM
Monday, May 20, 2002If you notice your email hasn't been delivered for a while, and have run a test to check delivery (i.e. getting a friend to send you an email or something similar) and it fails to be delivered for over an hour, PLEASE feel free to contact me via email and i'll check things out. This usually involves restarting qmail and the messages flooding in. The upgrade is tomorrow night to alleviate this silly bug. Until then, let us know when you notice delays and we'll remedy it asap. Thanks!!!

Friday, May 17, 2002Also note: We have a planned upgrade coming up on Tuesday, May 21st, which should alleviate the mail problems we've been experiencing. It looks like a qmail bug that allows spam to get into the server, but not out, thus backloggin the mail queue by thousands of messages. If you've been experiencing mail lags, please stick with us, we're working our butts off to fix this one asap.

Okay, we have managed to track down five or six people who have been aggressively spamming the server. We have blocked access to them, which should make the mail move more speedily. If anyone has problems receiving or sending mail, that probably means _you_ were blocked. This could happen because :
1. You are spamming, either on purpose or because of a virus. 2. Someone on your ISP is spamming. Either way, contact support and let us know, so we can try to resolve the situation. .: posted by Josh Sisk 7:19 AM
