The pooch has once again been screwed.

We love you, our customers. But sometimes one bad apple spoils the bunch. Last Saturday one of our clients was not as diligent as they should have been with doing security updates to their software and things were compromised. Don’t worry, it wasn’t your data that was compromised. It was just that their boneheaded-ness caused people to send crap-tons of traffic out of the network, effectively shutting the network down. it’s silly, we know and we’re sorry. They’ve been thoroughly tongue-lashed. Let us know how hard you had it and we’ll hook up service credits accordingly.

Outage! Oh noes!

The our main shared webserver was getting hit by a DDoS attack this morning. After a few minutes of slowness and a few minutes of unresponsiveness we got it all straightened out and got a firewall filter in place to block traffic.

So, some of you may have noticed a slowdown in service the past few days. Thats because we’re fighting off a DDoS attack. It seems that shortly after posting a scathing anti-scientologist post, our friends over at Killoggs (http://www.killoggs.com) became the target of a distributed denial of service attack. It’s been going on for about 5 days now and we’re doing what we can to abate it. Got questions, contact support!

Outage Thursday morning (and other updates!)

Hey folks!

Just getting in touch to keep you abreast of whats going on at Logjamming. First and foremost, we’re doing a power upgrade on our equipment Thursday morning. The outage window will be from 12:30am until 2:30am with the bulk of that work being done around 1:00am. That means your site is going to go down for a few minutes (we’re sorry, really!) But any timeouts, etc should be sporadic and not last too long.

In other news, our new support system is almost online. Josh & I have been workinig diligently on the new ticketing system. Progress can be seen at http://support.logjamming.com. Come monday of next week it should be online and we’re going to be using that little bad boy for all of our support jammers.

Our VPS service is really taking off! Thanks to everyone who’s signed up. It’s nice to roll out a new service and have people so stoked on it. Want more information on it, just ask, we’ll talk your ear off!

Finally, next month we’re going to be having a meet up in DC. Beers (and soda!) are on us! Come out and meet the folks who make your site work. Details to be emailed & posted soon!
